1.36.010 Health Officer--Appointment. a. Pursuant to AS 18.10.020, the City Manager or his designee
shall serve as the City Health Officer. (Ord. 91-7 section 1, 1991; Prior code

1.36.020 Health Officer--Powers and
Duties. The City Health Officer shall: a.
Insofar as it may be appropriate, administer State law and the rules and
regulations of the State Commissioner of the Department of Health and social
Services and any City ordinance pertaining to health;
b. Make recommendations to the State and the City Council regarding matters
relating to health, which may include suggested ordinances;
c. Perform such duties and have such powers fulfill such responsibilities as
may be prescribed by ordinance, law and the rules and regulations of the State
Department of Health and Social Services. (Ore. 91-7 section 1, 1991).
